college life

I graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a BA in Public Communication (with a focus on PR and Journalism).

My dream was to work in the music industry following internships at 99.1 WHFS FM, Z104 FM, Mix 107.3 FM and Sony Music.

hr life

In 2007, I was hired as the first (and only) HR Manager at youth marketing agency MRY (formerly Mr. Youth) – one of Inc. 500’s “fastest growing private companies in America” (2007) and Mashable’s “social media agency of the year” (2009).

- I had a client-facing role at Billboard, handling social media content strategy for the Billboard Music Awards’ Milestone Award, presented by Chevrolet

From 2014-2017, I worked full-time at Billboard, the world’s largest music brand (by digital traffic and social reach) and ranked “No. 1 U.S. Brand” and “No. 1 U.S. Publisher” on Twitter (2015).

I was responsible for creating content across social media platforms and audience development.

I also pitched content ideas to the newsroom based on trends, covered live events (from daily artist visits to the Grammy Awards), produced monthly reports, contributed stories, and took on a dual-role at Spin.com after Billboard acquired SpinMedia.
